Our group classes are structured around the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) curriculum. Dogs and their owners will learn the basic commands and prepare for the CGC evaluation. Classes are structured according to the level of difficulty. For Example: Canine Education 1.0 is suited for beginners where Canine Education 2.0 is more advanced. Our Canine Education courses are scheduled on a six week rotation. Each course concentrates on a set number of tasks developed from the CGC. Class Overviews Canine Education 1.0(CE-1.0) [ Register Now ] Combines the initial leash training and socialization skills of an introduction to obedience class, sometimes referred to as "Beginner Pet Dog". You and your dog will learn basic on leash obedience commands such as heel (loose leash walking), sit, stay, down and come. The CE-1.0 class provides the foundation for a well behaved dog. This class has dogs of all age groups making the class more diverse and creates a true life experience. This environment helps all age dogs the skills to positively interact with others. The above objectives are taken directly from the CGC evaluation. Our expectations and goals will be for you and your dog to successfully complete these tasks. Each session will end with a progress evaluation and homework assignment. The course trainer will recommend advancement for the dogs that are ready to move up to the Canine Education 2.0(CE-2.0). Canine Education 2.0 (CE-2.0) [ Register Now ] This course expands the fundamentals of basic obedience for dogs and their owners in order to prepare for the Canine Good Citizen evaluation.
